The newly appointed head of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Taras Vysotskyi, has outlined the key areas of focus for his role as the Minister of Agrarian Policy.
“Despite the war, daily risks, and losses, Ukrainian agrarians continue to work, providing food for our state and maintaining Ukraine’s status as one of the guarantors of global food security. Therefore, my main task is to ensure that state policy helps farmers to work, develop, and invest in the future,” wrote the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.
He plans to concentrate his efforts on several key directions:
- European Integration — consistent preparation of the agricultural sector for Ukraine’s full membership in the EU;
- Reconstruction and Development — attracting investments, developing processing, and increasing added value, creating new opportunities for Ukrainian producers, strengthening competitiveness, and expanding export markets;
- Support for Frontline Communities — assisting farmers in deoccupied and frontline regions: land demining, production restoration, and access to financing and state programs;
- Reforms and Digitalization — building a modern, competitive agrarian policy.
We remind you that on July 16, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy resumed its operations in Ukraine, headed by Taras Vysotskyi. The ministry had been inactive since July 2025.
