TAS Agro is concluding its harvest with favorable yielding results for winter rapeseed and wheat. This was reported to Latifundist.com by Oleg Zapletniuk, CEO of TAS Agro.
Yields vary by operating region, but overall they are good. In the south, the rapeseed yield was 3.2 t/ha, and for wheat, it was between 6-7.5 t/ha. On some distant fields, which were least affected by late frosts, they harvested 7–7.5 t/ha.
“The situation with wheat is less joyful than last year, although we understand the reasons: challenging weather, a cold autumn with frosts, and a cold spring,” explains Zapletniuk.
Winter rapeseed harvesting continues in the Vinnytsia cluster and in the Kyiv region. In the Vinnytsia cluster, they expect about 4.3 t/ha, and in the Kyiv region, 4 t/ha.
“The north, which was most affected by frosts, will yield about 3 t/ha, although there isn’t much rapeseed left there – the main fields were destroyed by the frosts,” he added.
Wheat harvesting is currently being finalized. Oleg Zapletniuk states that there are approximately 4–5 more days of work remaining. However, overall, we are on the final stretch (the conversation took place on July 30 – ed.).
